What is the Purpose of The Market
Several years ago on the anniversary of my 15th year of ordination, I put together some homilies asked for by parisioners; the book title is Chrystal Homilies. The Market Page was the means of distibuting the book, of which I have a handful left. I have expanded now to include artwork, books and other religious items.
This is not intended to be a money making endevour. So what happens to the dollars? After paying the expenses to run this website and other fees, I use the proceeds in three ways: purchase of vestments, purchase of other items used in my ministry such as an apergillum and ritual books (Baptism, Marriage, etc.) and helping people in need. Examples can be found below.
Being a deacon for over 25 years, many of those years included teaching, I have amassed a large book library as well as many scramentals and other Catholic items. Many items were gifted and many others I purchased myself. A great deal are duplictes and while I have and continue to give away much, I will be listing much in the coming months here in the Market for free or free will offering. These items do no good in storage and need to be shared.
